Join us, as a Mechanical Engineer, working for the UK Thermal Engineering Team within the 715MW CCGT Rye House Power Station you will provide support for all mechanical maintenance activities, such as provision of planned and breakdown maintenance.  Working within a global company this is an exciting time to work with a combination of leading-edge technologies at a number of different sites across this diverse business.  

Primarily you will undertake first line maintenance activities to support us to ensure our mechanical systems are legally compliant.  You will supervise mechanical maintenance work carried out during plant overhauls and support the implementation of the Company’s Technical Risk Management.   As a responsible engineer for HRSGs and Balance of Plant, you will have a good knowledge of relevant Standards and Regulations (specifically - Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000).

To enjoy the benefits of working for the Utility of the Future to develop your career with us we will essentially be looking for you to have experience with Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and Balance of Plant.  In return we will use your previous experience of mechanical maintenance of a CCGT or similar plant to keep the plant running round the clock.  Using your NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent principles of health and safety working knowledge this will help us to achieve plant maintenance targets safely.  We would like to benefit from your self-motivation and excellent communication skills when you join our small diverse team to encourage collaborative working relationships.
