Due to developments across our growing business an excellent opportunity has become available for a specialist role as a commercially aware Quantity Surveyor. 

Working across ScottishPower Distribution Licence Area within Commercial and Performance Contracts to provide support to the Districts management team and PM’s with regards to commercial matters and participate in procurement tender negotiations of contracts up to £14m pa.

This role within the business is imperative to contribute as a member of the SPD Energy Networks business to ensure our overall business objectives are met whilst managing competing priorities and contract framework up to the value of £174m.

With your proven Quantity Surveying experience working across multiple locations and high volume works you will maintain strong commercial control of contracts with working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and policies. You will have responsibility for developing and driving both the technical and commercial audit programmes and determining the level of audit required in order to focus the audit on areas of greatest need and value. 

Furthermore as the technical expert in your QS field you will work within a diverse team and support managers and colleagues as required as the go to person providing strong commercial leadership and business knowledge as you manage day to day interfaces with other work groups and delivery partners.
