Overhead Line Asset Inspector

About the role

We currently have a vacancy as an Asset Inspector based in Llandudno Junction working within the SP Energy Networks business.Working in the central programmes department, the asset inspector will provide inspection of company assets in line with the company policy including OH assets up to and including 33KV inspecting primarily across the North Wales District area. Feedback from these reports is used by the company to prioritise remedial works or renewals.

ACCOUNTABILITIES 

* Primarily inspection of SPEN Overhead line network
* Recognising and reporting of defects
* Immediate reporting of “I Hazards.â€
* Contributes as an effective team member in Energy Networks
* Point of contact for site issues
* Assist with any Customer enquiries

About you

We will be looking for someone who has a working knowledge of SPEN policies, procedures and practices, including company H&S requirements and compliance and knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation. You should also have business knowledge of Compliance and 3rd party construction and connections alongside knowledge of how Energy Networks OH electrical network operates and EN Asset Inspection policy (ASSET-01-021). Ideally you will also have awareness of network and business data and network management systems.

We will also be looking for an effective and confident communicator, and with the ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges. Preferably you will already have resource planning and work management skills, with the ability to use hand held toughbook. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Llandudno Junction with a starting salary from £23,807 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus other company benefits including Stakeholder Pension plan, training and development, generous annual leave and flexible benefits of your choice.
